The Trip Up North.
This trip started on the 20th Oct 2004. 9 people make it all the way from KL to Kedah..This group consist of 5 guys and 4 gals.. Adrian, Vern, Jeremy C, Jay, and me makes up the guys , the girls are Amanda, Shelleen, Wai Peng and Jin Ling. We took a 2hrs drive and stop by Bidor for breakfast..than we proceed to Ipoh for lunch..in Ipoh, we took a long break before the long drive to Kedah. We actually had time to go for a movie.. Ladder 49.. After the movie, we went for lunch in Ipoh and than we drove the remaining trip up north towards Kedah..
In Kedah, we put up in Vern's dads house for one nite...hehe..thanks Uncle Lee...haha...hope tat we didn't leave too much mess....
The following day, we took an hours drive to Penang..where we put up for one nite....by the time we check into the hotel, it was already pass noon...so we went into the rooms courtesy of Adrian, we got 3 rooms...we made prank calls to each other and we had some extra curicular activities as well...guys u know wat i mean.. tat nite i had a bad case of headache due to lack of sleep..so i crash in early and the guys who slept late tried to give me prank but they failed miserably as i didn't answer the phone.. too bad...i was sleeping like a pig....
On the third day of the trip, we seperated from Jay and Jin Ling as they have plans on their own..now we are left with 7 people in the group heading towards Langkawi..Jay n Jin Ling sent us of to the jetty.. from the jetty it was a 2 hour ride to Langkawi Island.. the sun, beach, sea and of course the duty free products...wah hahaha.....we got in to Langkawi at approximately 5pm got a van and head towards the hotel..courtesy of Adrian again..i mean the hotel...haha..so we got to the hotel and crash into the rooms..making a big fuss about the rooms n all..haha..so after checking in and freshing up, we went out for dinner.....one thing funny is that the rooms are located in the forest...with cement roads as tracks to all the rooms...so for us to go in and out of the hotel area, we have to request for a shuttle service which is a mini lorry converted in to a "shuttle" its cool...and we did have quite a ride courtesy of a driver tat origins from a place near my house...haha..as for the activities after dinner is, we went to the beach at about 12 midnite...there the group got seperated into 2 groups..the boys and the girls..the girls were chit chatting while burrying their feet into the sand where the guys burried something else in to the send..hehe actually burrying Vern into the sand....we hang around the beach until it was 4 am than we went back to the rooms to recharge for the next day..
Day 4 Langkawi..we woke up at 11am haha really late...we went out for lunch than we went shopping for duty free stuff..and that nite, we had a card game..the "4 Jacks". This game would require all the players to be sporting and open minded...narrow minded people are best advice not to play this game... OK.. lets get to the game details...or shud i say rules...or how the game is played..
The game will requires all the 4 different Jacks to be in the deck...than the cards would be deal among the players with the cards faced up. The person who receives the first Jack would have to determine what type of drinks to be consumed when the last Jack is dealt. When second Jack is dealt, the player who receives is will determine how much of drinks will be poured into the cup..The third Jack will determine what will be done while drinking. The last Jack?? well the person who receives the last Jack would have to drink the drink mixed and do the action...well it may seems pretty normal, but when players who recevies the 3rd Jack decides to be more adventureous, like drinking naked in the hotel room walkway, it could get entertaining...haha..
Well this was the game played in the hotel room...but half way through the game, Jeremy C got too drunk and quit the game..the rest of the guys went on with the game until about 6am..it got pretty out of hand as everyone was tryin to be the last man standing...one got too drunk and puke on the bed...OMG  but apart from getting a hang over on day 5, every one is a-OK..
Day 5, on this day, we we decided to take it slow..everyone got loads of rest..and we went shopping again..this time is to bring the stuff we bought back to KL...we went around and hunt for all the stuff that we wanted..liquors, chocolates etc etc....some of us bought clothes...and we actually saw a Ferari Modena 360 for rent..It cost RM360 to rent the Ferari to test its sprinting capability from 0 to 100km/h and to test its handling capability...too expensive to indulge ourself in... that nite, we juz decide to chill in the room and enjoying the facilities there...the balcony with a fresh breeze coupled with the sea breeze made the moment relaxing..something that people in KL do not get to feel very often.. after relaxing until about midnite..we decided to hit the sack for the nite and prepare for the return trip back to KL..
Day 6, we left Langkawi at 5pm and arrived at Penang around 7pm and made our way around Penang to enjoy the delicious and low priced food in Penang one last time before going back to KL to exorbitantly priced food and hectic life style.. we eventually left Penang at 8 pm and head towards KL..on the way to KL we stop by Ipoh to drop off Shelleen, where she wanted to visit a friend staying there..we arrived at Ipoh at 10pm and resume our journey to KL...we arrived at KL close to midnite...bid our farewells to Adrian, Amanda, and Wai Peng...
Me and Vern sent Jeremy C back home in Kepong..we had supper there and return to our home back in Ampang...
